Chapter 28 - THE MAN WHO CAME FOR NOAHOne evening, Noah was walking through the garden when he noticed a stranger near the gate.

The man was older.
Gray-haired.
He held a cane.
And he was staring directly at Noah.
Security moved toward him.
But Noah raised his hand.
“Wait.”
The man smiled.
“Your mother had your eyes.”
Noah froze.
“How did you know my mother?”
“I worked with her.”
“Where?”
The man looked toward the mansion.
“Before Richard.”
Noah stepped closer.
“Who are you?”
“My name is Samuel Bell.”
Noah stared at him.
The surname meant something.
Bell.
Mara Bell.
“Are you related to my mother?”
Samuel nodded.
“I was her father.”
Noah's breath caught.
His grandfather.
The man everyone had told him was dead.
Samuel looked at him.
“I have been looking for you for twelve years.”
Noah did not move.
“Why didn't you find me?”
May you like
Samuel lowered his eyes.
“Because the people who took your mother were looking for me too.”
