Chapter 41 - THE CHILDREN WHO RETURNEDMonths later, the thirty-seven survivors gathered together.

Some came with their families.
Some came alone.
Some still needed help walking.
Others were still in wheelchairs.
But all of them had survived.
The meeting was held in a new medical center.
Its name was simple:
The Mara Bell Center.
Noah stood at the entrance.
The first person to arrive was Sofia.
She smiled.
“You look different.”
Noah laughed.
“So do you.”
She pointed toward the building.
“Did you name this after your mother?”
“Yes.”
“Would she have liked it?”
Noah looked at the sign.
“She would have said the building is too expensive.”
Sofia smiled.
“Then she sounds like a good person.”
Noah nodded.
“She was.”
Inside, the survivors met one another.
For years, they had believed they were alone.
Now they knew the truth.
May you like
They had never been alone.
They had simply been separated.
