Chapter 59 - THE ABANDONED TRAIN STATIONNoah followed the coordinates.

They led to an abandoned train station.

The same station where Mara had once hidden evidence.

He arrived alone.

At least, he thought he had.

A voice spoke from behind him.

“You were always the brave one.”

Noah turned.

A woman stepped from the shadows.

She was in her fifties.

Elegant.

Calm.

And familiar.

Noah recognized her from the photographs.

She had been standing beside Mara.

“You know my mother.”

The woman nodded.

“My name is Helena.”

“Where is Ava?”

“Safe.”

Noah looked around.

“Then why did you bring me here?”

Helena pointed toward an old train carriage.

“Because your mother left something for you.”

Inside was a metal box.

Noah opened it.

There was a letter.

And a small glass vial.

He recognized the handwriting immediately.

Mara.

The letter contained only one sentence:

NOAH, IF YOU ARE READING THIS, DO NOT TRUST THE WHITE STAR.
