“Why would she give it to me?”
Samuel answered:
“Because no one would search a child’s belongings.”
Noah remembered his old brass key.
The one his mother had given him.
He had always thought it opened a safety box.
But the key had a tiny symbol engraved on its side.
Samuel recognized it.
“That is not a key.”
Noah frowned.
“It opens something.”
“No.”
Samuel shook his head.
“It is a code.”
The three parts of the research were hidden using the same symbol.
Noah suddenly realized something.
The mark had appeared on his scar.
On the twins’ medical files.
And on the black drive.
The Black Circle had not invented the symbol.
