Chapter 40 - Lily's MemoryLily slowly remembered something from the night Clara died.
She had been awake.
She saw someone enter her mother's room.
A woman.
Not Victoria.
Not Eleanor.
Someone younger.
Lily described her.
Dark hair.
Blue coat.
Silver watch.
Mark looked at Ethan.
Then at his father.
His father whispered:
“Now you know.”
The woman was Dr. Moore's daughter.
She had been the seventh member.
She had infiltrated the family years earlier.
She had been working inside Vance Logistics.
And she had been manipulating the entire investigation.
But then she appeared on the building's security monitor.
Standing behind Mark.
A gun in her hand.
“Don't move.”
Mark froze.
May you like
She smiled.
“Lily remembers me.”
