Chapter 15 - WHAT THE CAMERA COULDN’T RECORDDaniel reviewed every piece of footage from the wedding.

The cameras showed Preston.
My father.
Vanessa.
And dozens of guests.
But one person appeared in every important location.
A woman in a dark green dress.
Her face was always turned away.
She had entered the ballroom.
The bridal suite.
The service corridor.
And the parking garage.
Daniel froze the image.
I stared at the screen.
Margaret Vale.
She had been there.
Watching.
The entire time.
Then Daniel noticed something else.
Seven minutes after Sophie was hurt, Margaret had entered the security room.
She had used an executive keycard.
The same keycard used to erase the footage.
I looked at Daniel.
“Can we prove it?”
He nodded.
“There’s a problem.”
“What?”
“The footage was altered.”
“By whom?”
Daniel looked at me.
“Someone inside the hotel.”
I suddenly understood.
The person who had helped Margaret erase the footage was not a stranger.
It was someone Daniel trusted.
May you like
Someone who had access to every camera.
Someone who had been standing beside him all night.
