Chapter 7 - A TINY MIRACLE

"Mr. Sterling?" the nurse asked softly, stepping past the security guards toward Ethan.
Ethan ignored Marcus completely, walking quickly toward the nurse with his hands trembling uncontrollably.
"You have a son, Mr. Sterling. He weighs four pounds, two ounces," the nurse announced with a warm smile.
Ethan looked down into the soft blue blanket, seeing a tiny baby boy with dark hair and delicate facial features.
"Is he... is he breathing on his own?" Ethan whispered, gently touching his son's tiny, warm hand.
"He's a fighter. He's stabilized and breathing without assistance," the nurse confirmed softly.
"And Clara? How is my wife?" Ethan asked frantically, his eyes darting toward the surgical room doors.
"She made it through surgery, but she lost a lot of blood. She's being moved to intensive care to recover."
Ethan let out a long, shuddering sigh of relief, bowing his head as tears spilled over his cheeks.
