Chapter 21 - THE VIRGINIA RESTORATION
Ethan and Clara decided to finance a full restoration of the Virginia ancestral homestead as a public museum.
The project attracted national attention, featuring on major American historical and architectural television programs.
"The Sterling family is restoring a lost piece of American history for future generations," the host reported.
Clara oversaw the interior restoration, choosing authentic period furnishings and preserving original woodwork.
Leo ran through the lush gardens, his happy laughter echoing through the serene grounds of the estate.
During the grand reopening ceremony, federal representatives presented Ethan with a national heritage plaque.
"Your family's dedication to honor, heritage, and service is an inspiration to all Americans," the official stated.
Ethan stood beside Clara, holding her waist as they unveiled the dedication plaque before a cheering crowd.
