Chapter 13 - THE CORPORATE FRAME-UP
Two weeks after baby Leo was brought home to the renovated estate, Ethan returned to his Wall Street office.
He stepped into the glass-walled executive suite of Sterling Financial, greeted by warm congratulations from colleagues.
However, as he logged into his secure terminal, a red alert notification flashed across his primary screen.
"System Notice: Federal Audit Initiated Regarding Embezzlement Of Foreign Funds," the prompt read in dark red text.
Ethan’s dark eyes narrowed as he realized fifty million dollars had been transferred through his account overnight.
"What is the meaning of this?!" Ethan's managing partner, Thomas, demanded, slamming a paper printout on the desk.
"Someone used my master key encryption codes to stage an illegal wire transfer at two in the morning," Ethan stated.
"The SEC has frozen your corporate trading license pending a full federal investigation," Thomas reported grimly.
Ethan leaned back in his leather chair, realizing Marcus Miller’s invisible hand was behind this elaborate frame-up.
