Chapter 16 - THE FALL OF MARCUS MILLER
By seven o'clock the following morning, two Connecticut State Police cruisers pulled into the driveway of the Miller mansion.
Marcus Miller stood on his front porch in a silk bathrobe, holding a cup of coffee as officers approached.
"Marcus Miller, you are under arrest for conspiracy to commit wire fraud, bribery, and evidence tampering," the officer stated.
"This is absurd! Do you know who I am?!" Marcus roared, dropping his coffee cup as it shattered on the stone steps.
Eleanor ran out of the front door screaming as troopers forced Marcus's hands behind his back in cuffs.
"Ethan did this to you, didn't he?!" Eleanor shrieked, hysterically beating her fists against her husband's car.
"Your son-in-law just saved his family from your corrupt madness, Mrs. Miller," the lead trooper informed her coldly.
News cameras from local Connecticut stations recorded Marcus being loaded into the back of a police cruiser in shame.
The Miller family empire had completely unravelled, exposed for its greed, toxicity, and criminal desperation.
