Lily stood at the entrance.
She had never seen a house so large.
There were enormous windows.
A beautiful garden.
A staircase that seemed to go forever.
But Lily looked nervous.
“Where will we sleep?”
Eleanor smiled.
“Anywhere you want.”
Lily looked confused.
“Anywhere?”
“Yes.”
The girl thought carefully.
“Can I have a room near Mommy?”
Eleanor smiled.
“Of course.”
Lily looked around.
Then asked:
“Can I keep selling flowers?”
Eleanor was surprised.
“Do you want to?”
Lily nodded.
“I like flowers.”
Eleanor smiled.
“Then you can.”
She did not want to take away the girl's identity.
She only wanted to give her choices.
Lily looked toward the front door.
It was open.
