Chapter 15 - The Truth Always Wins

One year later.
Marcus stood outside the Whitmore mansion.
The place looked different.
Peaceful.
No secrets.
No hidden rooms.
No lies.
The company had survived.
But Marcus had changed.
He no longer cared about power.
Only honesty.
Detective Sarah visited him one final time.
“You never replaced the old security cameras.”
Marcus smiled.
“No.”
“Why?”
He looked toward the mansion.
“Because people need reminders.”
“Of what?”
Marcus answered:
“That the truth always has a way of coming out.”
Sarah smiled.
“And Elena?”
Marcus was silent for a moment.
“She admitted everything.”
“She regrets it?”
“Yes.”
“But?”
Marcus looked away.
“Regret doesn’t erase damage.”
Inside the mansion, Marcus found the old photograph of his family.
The one from the hidden room.
He placed it back carefully.
Because even broken families have memories worth keeping.
That night, Marcus walked through the living room one last time.
The place where the glass shattered.
The place where the lies began.
But also the place where the truth finally appeared.
He looked at the security camera above him.
And smiled.
Because after everything…
After betrayal.
After secrets.
After losing the people he trusted most…
He learned the most important lesson of his life.
People can fake tears.
They can fake love.
They can fake innocence.
But they can never fool the truth forever.

Because eventually…
The camera sees everything.
