Chapter 8 - The Family Secret
Lily’s father, David, stepped forward, his expression shifting from shock to desperate aggression. He rushed toward the open hatch, attempting to slam the wooden doors shut before anyone else could witness the horror inside.
"Get away from there! Don't look down!" David shouted, his voice harsh and defensive.
But Lily planted her small body firmly across the edge of the opening, blocking him with fierce determination. "You locked her down here! You monsters!" she screamed at her father, her eyes blazing with absolute betrayal. The guests at the table stood up in horror, whispering among themselves as the horrific family conspiracy was laid bare.
