Chapter 20 - Peace in the Greenhouse

On a warm autumn afternoon, golden sunlight poured through the glass panes of the newly restored greenhouse. Martha sat comfortably in a wicker armchair, sipping chamomile tea while watching Lily paint a watercolor picture of the garden.

Martha smiled, resting her hand gently over Lily’s small shoulder. They had survived the darkest depths of human greed, emerging together into the light. No secret could stay buried forever, and true love would always find a way to break through the dark.
