Chapter 21 - The Final PleaAiden tumbled backward down the boarding stairs, landing hard on the wet concrete of the tarmac, scrambling away on his hands and knees. Julian stood frozen at the threshold of the aircraft cabin, staring down at Abraham like a condemned man facing the guillotine.

"Abraham..." Julian stammered, raising his hands in a pathetic gesture of surrender. "We can... we can talk about this. We can split the remaining assets fifty-fifty! Thorne Industries is yours! Just... don't do this."

Abraham walked slowly across the tarmac, his silver-tipped cane clicking against the pavement with steady, hypnotic regularity. He stopped at the base of the stairs, looking up at his former partner with eyes devoid of any mercy.

"You didn't want a partnership, Julian. You wanted a monopoly built on my ruin and my daughter's imprisonment," Abraham said, his voice ringing with absolute authority. "And now, the bill has come due."

Marcus stepped forward from the tactical unit, holding a pair of heavy steel handcuffs.

"Federal marshals are thirty minutes out to take them into formal custody on international racketeering and kidnapping charges," Marcus reported to Abraham. "But our private transport is ready to take them to a much more... permanent holding location first."

Julian shook his head frantically, tears mixing with the rain on his face. "You can't do this! We’re pillars of society! We have rights!"

"Rights," Abraham repeated coldly, "are something you grant to human beings, Julian. Not to monsters who cage children."

Marcus and two operatives climbed the stairs, grabbed Julian and Aiden by their collars, and dragged them down from the aircraft as they screamed and thrashed against the steel cuffs.
