Chapter 20 - The Teterboro InterceptionThe private aviation tarmac at Teterboro Airport was slick with a cold autumn drizzle. A sleek, twin-engine Gulfstream jet sat idling on the runway, its turbine engines whining with high-pitched urgency, ready for immediate takeoff.

Julian Thorne and his brother Aiden sprinted across the wet tarmac from a black town car, their heavy overcoats flapping in the wind, their faces twisted in frantic desperation.
"Hurry up, Aiden! The pilot is clearing us for immediate departure!" Julian shouted, clutching his briefcase tightly against his chest.
They reached the foot of the mobile boarding stairs. Aiden grabbed the metal handrail, pulling himself up toward the cabin door.
Suddenly, the floodlights ringing the perimeter fence flared blindingly bright, turning the dark tarmac into broad daylight.
From three separate directions, black tactical SUVs converged on the Gulfstream, cutting off its taxi path and boxing the jet in completely. Doors flew open, and armed operatives swarmed out, sealing every exit.
Julian spun around in sheer terror as a single black sedan rolled smoothly to a stop ten feet away.

The rear door opened, and Abraham Yates stepped out into the rain, holding his silver-tipped cane, his charcoal overcoat draped elegantly over his shoulders.
"Going somewhere, gentlemen?" Abraham asked calmly, his voice carrying clearly over the roar of the jet turbines.
