Chapter 5 - THE OWNER ARRIVESThe man was the restaurant owner.
His name was Daniel Bennett.
He was also Clara's father.
He had been watching the scene from the other side of the restaurant.
He walked toward the table.
“Clara.”
Clara looked up.
“Dad.”
Daniel looked at the elderly woman.
Then at his daughter.
“What is going on?”
Clara calmly answered.
“She was refused entry.”
Daniel frowned.
“Why?”
Clara glanced toward the security guard.
The guard immediately looked nervous.
Daniel turned to him.
“Why did you refuse her?”
The guard began explaining.
“She did not have a reservation.”
Daniel looked around the restaurant.
There were empty tables.
Then he looked back at the guard.
“Since when do we refuse guests because of their clothing?”
The guard said nothing.
The elderly woman slowly stood.
“Please don't make trouble because of me.”
Daniel immediately shook his head.
“No.”
He looked at her.
“You have done nothing wrong.”
Then he turned to the security guard.
“Apologize.”
The guard hesitated.

Daniel's voice became firm.
“Now.”
