Chapter 2 - THE WOMAN IN PINKThe young woman was named Clara Bennett.

She was dressed in an elegant pink suit.
Her long dark hair fell over her shoulders.
She had been enjoying lunch alone.
But now she was no longer looking at her food.
She was watching the elderly woman outside.
Clara pushed back her chair.
A waiter looked at her.
“Miss Bennett?”
Clara did not answer.
She walked toward the entrance.
The security guard was still blocking the elderly woman.
“Please,” the old woman said quietly.
“I am not here to cause trouble.”
The guard shook his head.
“I already told you.”
Clara opened the door.
“Excuse me.”
Everyone turned.
The guard looked at her.
“Miss, this woman cannot enter.”
Clara glanced at the elderly woman.
Then she looked back at him.
“Why?”
The guard hesitated.
“She doesn't have a reservation.”
Clara looked through the glass doors.
There were empty tables everywhere.
“Neither did I.”
The guard became uncomfortable.
Clara stepped aside.
“Then she can sit with me.”
The elderly woman stared at her.
“You?”
May you like
Clara smiled.
“Yes.”
