Chapter 1 - THE WOMAN AT THE DOORThe restaurant was one of the most expensive in the city.
Every evening, luxury cars stopped outside its golden entrance.
Inside, wealthy guests enjoyed expensive meals beneath crystal chandeliers.
That afternoon, an elderly woman slowly approached the entrance.
Her gray hair was tied loosely behind her head.
Her clothes were old.
Her shoes were worn.
She walked carefully, one hand pressed against her stomach.
The security guard immediately stepped in front of her.
“Ma’am, you cannot come inside.”
The woman stopped.
She looked confused.
“I only want to eat.”
The guard glanced at her clothing.
“This restaurant is full.”
The woman looked through the glass doors.
There were several empty tables inside.
She knew it.
The guard knew it.
But he still shook his head.
The elderly woman lowered her eyes.
“I have money.”
The guard sighed.
“Please leave.”
She slowly turned around.

Then a young woman sitting near the window noticed everything.
And she stood up.
