Margaret began visiting every week.
She always sat at the same table.
The table where Clara had first invited her to sit.
One afternoon, the waiter brought her soup.
Margaret smiled.
“Thank you.”
The waiter smiled back.
“It is an honor.”
Margaret shook her head.
“No.”
She looked around the restaurant.
“It is simply a meal.”
The waiter smiled.
