Ethan immediately smiled.
Sophia watched them.
Her heart tightened.
There had been a time when she had dreamed of this exact scene.
A family.
A child.
Ethan laughing.
But the dream had once been surrounded by lies.

The party ended at sunset.
Ethan stayed behind to clean.

“You don't have to do that.”
