Chapter 17 - THE FOUNDATIONGrace studied medicine.

Specifically, cardiology.
She wanted to understand the disease that had taken her mother.
Adrian supported her.
The foundation grew.
Every year, it helped women who could not afford treatment for pregnancy-related heart disease.
The first clinic was named after Mia.
Not because Adrian wanted to keep her trapped in the past.
Because her death had changed the future of thousands of women.
On the wall was a simple sentence:
No woman should have to choose between becoming a mother and surviving motherhood.
Grace visited the clinic often.
She carried her mother's photographs.
And sometimes, when she was tired, she sat beneath the window and wondered what Mia would have been like.
Would they have fought?
Probably.
Would they have laughed?
Definitely.
May you like
Would Mia have been proud?
Grace believed so.
