Chapter 18 - AN EVERLASTING PROMISEThe wedding was held on a sunny afternoon in early June on the grounds of the Vance Estate—the very place that had once been surrounded by turmoil, now transformed into a sanctuary of love and flowers.

Maya, looking like a little angel in a white lace dress, served as the flower girl, proudly scattering rose petals down the aisle.
When the music changed, Ethan stood at the altar, looking dashing in a tailored charcoal tuxedo. His breath hitched as the doors opened and Victoria appeared, walking down the aisle on the arm of Julian.
She wore an exquisite white gown with a long lace train that caught the summer breeze. She looked breathtaking, her eyes fixed entirely on Ethan.
When Julian handed her hand to Ethan, he leaned over and whispered to Ethan, "Take care of her, son."
"With my life," Ethan replied solemnly.
The ceremony was intimate, attended by true friends, doctors who had saved Maya, and faithful staff.
When the time came for the vows, Ethan looked deep into Victoria’s eyes. "Victoria, when I pulled you from the river, I thought I was saving a stranger. I didn't know I was saving the woman who would complete my life and save my daughter. I promise to love you, honor you, and stay by your side through every storm."
Victoria smiled, tears flowing freely. "Ethan, you showed me that true strength isn't about control or power—it's about love, courage, and standing by those who need you. You gave me a home when I was lost. I promise to love you and Maya for all the days of my life."

"I now pronounce you husband and wife," the officiant declared. "You may kiss the bride."
Ethan pulled Victoria close, dipping her gently as he kissed her passion, while the crowd erupted into cheers and Maya clapped joyfully.
