Midnight descended over Saint Mercy’s Hospital and the sprawling city of Bell Haven.
Inside the quiet master suite of the Vescari estate, the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a breathtaking view of the moonlit bay.
Dominic and Mara stood together on the private balcony, looking out at the endless dark water glittering under the stars.
In the nursery down the hall, little Elena slept peacefully in her crib, protected by high stone walls, loyal hearts, and a father who would tear down mountains to keep her safe.
Dominic pulled Mara closer against his side, his hand resting gently over her waist, their matching platinum rings catching the silver moonlight.
"Do you ever think about that night in Trauma Room Four?" Mara asked softly, her eyes reflecting the stars.
Dominic looked down at her, his expression holding an eternal, unwavering devotion that no storm could ever shake.
