Chapter 9 - The Truth UnveiledTwo months later, Julian organized a special evening at the Weston estate library. The room was decorated with soft candlelight, white roses, and warm fires.
Walter and Maya sat together on the sofa, watching eagerly as Julian led Laya to the center of the room.
Julian reached into his jacket and pulled out a small, velvet ring box. He dropped to one knee before her.
"Laya, the night you stopped your car in the rain, you saved a man you didn't know," Julian said softly, holding up a sparkling, flawless diamond ring. "You gave everything when you had nothing to spare. You showed me what true courage and love look like. Will you marry me and make this family whole?"
Laya covered her mouth, tears of overwhelming happiness streaming down her cheeks.
