Chapter 25 / 30
Chapter 25 - A Surprise AnnouncementA month later, Eleanor celebrated her 75th birthday. The grand hall of Hawthorne Mansion was filled once again with guests, music, and sparkling chandeliers.
Unlike the previous gathering, this party was attended not just by wealthy executives, but by all the household staff, groundskeepers, and local community leaders.
Alexander stood at the top of the marble staircase, holding a champagne glass. The room fell respectful silent as he prepared to speak.
"One year ago, a woman stood in this very hall and called one of our staff members a peasant," Alexander began, his voice clear and resonant. "That day taught us a lesson we will never forget."
