Chapter 3 - Miller’s Sleepless NightLess than thirty minutes later, Miller arrived at my hotel room. He brought along a paralegal and a digital forensics specialist.
After watching the first video clip and skimming through Lily’s purple notebook, Miller—a man who was normally cold and hardened by business battles—took a deep breath, his eyes bloodshot.
"This is no longer just domestic abuse, Mark," Miller whispered, looking up at me. "This is systematic child torture, unlawful confinement, and severe psychological abuse. Worse... there are signs she has been draining your children's trust fund."
I stared at Miller: "The trust fund?"
"Yes. Two weeks ago, the bank notified me of an unusual withdrawal from the trust fund left by Emily for Lily and Owen. The authorization signature was under Kate's name. I assumed you had approved it to cover Owen's medical bills."

A bitter smile formed on my lips. Not only was she torturing my children physically, but Kate was also actively stealing their future.
"Recover every single deleted file on that phone," I ordered the technician. "Every audio clip, every deleted text. I want an airtight case."
