Chapter 14 - The Strike in South Chicago|

Rain poured over South Chicago at midnight, slicking the dark asphalt of an abandoned industrial park.
Inside a rundown brick warehouse, eight Genovese enforcers sat around a wooden table, cleaning automatic rifles and checking tactical gear.
Suddenly, the steel doors of the warehouse blew inward with a deafening BOOM!
High-grade flashbang explosives detonated inside the room, blinding and deafening the enforcers in a split second of absolute white light and thunder.
Before the smoke could clear, Rocco and twelve Castille tactical guards swept through the broken doors like shadows in the night.
Phft! Phft! Phft!
Suppressed gunfire cut through the air with terrifying precision.
Within forty-five seconds, seven of the Genovese enforcers lay dead on the concrete floorboards.
The lead captain, blood dripping from his shoulder, scrambled toward a rear exit, but a heavy leather boot slammed down onto his chest, pinning him to the floor.
Matthew Castille stepped out of the smoke, wearing a dark trench coat, holding a silenced pistol pointed directly between the captain's eyes.
"Castille..." the captain gasped out, coughing blood. "Victor... Victor will tear your city apart..."
"Victor made a mistake when he threatened my wife," Matthew whispered, his voice completely devoid of human warmth. "Tell him I'm waiting for him in Lake Forest."

Phft.
Matthew pulled the trigger, turning on his heel and walking out into the rain, leaving the burning warehouse behind him.
