Chapter 11 - Carla’s Return
Just as peace seemed to settle over the estate, an unwelcome disruption occurred at the front gates. Carla Rossi, having heard rumors of her daughter's association with the powerful mafia boss, showed up intoxicated and demanding entry, hoping to extort more money from Dante.
Security guards stopped her at the gates, but the commotion reached the main house. Elena stood by the second-floor window, watching her mother rant and gesture wildly at the iron bars. Dante walked up behind her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Do you want me to handle her?" he asked gently.

Elena nodded, then walked downstairs to face her past for the final time. She stepped through the front gates, standing tall and unblinking before the woman who had sold her like chattel. Carla tried to launch into a manipulative tirade, her lips moving frantically, but Elena simply raised her hand, stopping her dead in her tracks.
Elena pulled out her phone and typed a final message, showing the screen to her mother: The debt is paid. You have no daughter left. Dante stepped forward beside Elena, his imposing presence enough to freeze the blood in Carla's veins. Realizing she had lost all leverage forever, Carla turned and stumbled away down the road, vanishing from Elena’s life for good.
