Chapter 8 - The Principal's OfficeWithin ten minutes, the school principal, Mr. Harrison, rushed into his office where David had brought Lily and settled her onto a leather sofa with a glass of water.
Principal Harrison looked pale, sweating profusely as he looked between David and the frozen tablet screen displaying Mia’s video evidence.
"Mr. Miller, I—words cannot express how deeply horrified I am," Principal Harrison stammered, wringing his hands together. "Mrs. Gable’s actions are entirely outside school policy. We had no idea—"
"You didn't know because you've been turning a blind eye to her authoritarian methods for years to keep your standardized test scores high," David interrupted, his voice dropping into a dangerous, measured cadence. "My attorney is filing an immediate civil lawsuit for child abuse, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and gross negligence against both Mrs. Gable and the school district."

"The time for internal settlement ended the moment she put scissors to my daughter's hair," David stated flatly, standing up with Lily holding his hand. "We are leaving. You will receive formal service from my legal team by sunset."
