She struck his arm.
The knife flew across the floor.
Security tackled him.
Within seconds, he was restrained.
The ballroom fell silent.
Adrian stood slowly.
His lip was bleeding.
Valeria looked at him.
"Are you okay?"
He nodded.
Then laughed.
"What?"
"You hit him with a chair."
"He deserved it."
Adrian smiled.
"Definitely."
The police arrived.
The man was arrested.
But the story was far from over.
Because when the investigators searched him, they found a small device.
A recording device.
And inside it was a conversation.
A conversation recorded two days earlier.
Between the man…
And someone else.
