Chapter 6 - The Trap at Murray HillThe federal team initially rejected Norah’s proposition as suicidally reckless, but as Park analyzed Dominic’s current behavioral patterns, they realized it was their only viable play. Dominic believed Norah was a fragile, terrified housewife who would flee to her sister’s house in total panic. He wouldn't expect her to walk back into the lion's den under federal supervision.

Before executing the apartment infiltration, Norah insisted on a preliminary stop: confronting Ranata Cho directly. Accompanied by two federal agents operating in deep cover as corporate couriers, Norah knocked on the door of Ranata’s luxury high-rise apartment in Murray Hill. When Ranata pulled the door open—still wearing casual loungewear and looking effortlessly polished—her face instantly drained of color upon seeing Norah standing in the hallway.

"Norah... what are you—" Ranata stammered, stepping back.

Norah walked past her into the chic living room without an invitation, her posture radiating absolute command. "Save the performance, Ranata. I know you're sleeping with my husband. I also know you're the primary corporate signatory on Dominic’s illicit offshore accounts in the Caymans."

Ranata’s hand flew to her mouth, her eyes darting toward the hallway where the federal agents stood blocking the exit. "I don't know what you're talking about... Dominic protects me—"

"Dominic protects Dominic," Norah corrected sharply, pulling a federal cooperation agreement from her folder and slapping it onto the glass coffee table alongside a pen. "Right now, Dominic’s syndicate is unraveling. The FBI has your name on twenty-two felony counts of corporate money laundering carrying a cumulative sentence of forty years. You can sign this cooperation affidavit right now, turn over your access codes, and enter witness protection, or you can go down taking the fall for a man who has three other mistresses waiting in the wings. Choose wisely, Ranata."

Trembling violently, tears streaming down her cheeks, Ranata picked up the pen and signed her name across the dotted line. The first domino had fallen.
