Following her arrest, the District Attorney’s office moved quickly to secure an emergency protective order and expand the investigation into her past. Subpoenas were issued for her bank records, phone logs, and historical medical files. Investigators discovered that she had systematically isolated us for years, manipulating insurance claims after my childhood accident to cover up the fact that she had deliberately shoved me down the stairs.
Josie and I sat in our lawyer’s office as the layers of our mother’s deception were peeled back layer by layer.
