Her phone buzzed with a proud message from Lena, followed swiftly by a text from Adrien confirming that the trust was fully secure and locked behind her exclusive authorization.
Thinking back on the hospital bracelet and the wedding ring left behind, she realized she hadn't become stronger because Caleb betrayed her; she had grown stronger because she finally stopped betraying herself by accepting less than she deserved.
