Chapter 9 - Rebuilding Broken BridgesInside the main house, Ethan led Lena to the master wing. He opened the doors to a beautiful, sunlit room that had been completely redesigned with light wood, soft fabrics, and vibrant colors—a space crafted specifically with her taste in mind.

"This isn't a guest cottage," Ethan explained, turning her around to face him. "This is our home. If you'll have me, I want you by my side. As my wife, as Mason’s mother, and as the center of my world."

Lena stood speechless, looking around the room filled with sunlight. She saw the care, the thought, and the profound love evident in every detail.

"Ethan..." she breathed, her voice catching in her throat.

"I spent four years being blind to the best thing that ever happened to me," Ethan said, holding both her hands tightly against his chest. "I promise to spend the rest of my life making sure you feel seen, cherished, and loved every single day."

Lena smiled through her tears, stepping into his arms and pulling him close. "I love you, Ethan. I've loved you for so long."

Ethan wrapped his arms around her waist, lifting her slightly as he kissed her deeply, sealing a promise that had been four years in the making.
