Chapter 7 - The Handyman’s CounterattackThe grand ballroom of the St. Regis Hotel was filled with five hundred of the city’s most influential billionaires, politicians, and real estate moguls for the annual Holloway & Whitmore Development Gala.

Crystal chandeliers cast a brilliant glow over tuxedo-clad executives and women in designer gowns. At the center of the room stood Grant Whitmore, holding a glass of vintage champagne, holding court near the main presentation stage.
Beside him stood his aging father, Arthur Whitmore, looking frail but arrogant in a customized wheelchair.
“Tonight, ladies and gentlemen,” Grant announced into the microphone, his voice echoing smoothly across the hall, “we celebrate thirty years of progress. And I am proud to announce the final acquisition of the Holloway family estate shares, solidifying our control over the new Riverfront Luxury Commercial Zone!”
The crowd erupted into polite applause.
Suddenly, the heavy double doors at the back of the ballroom swung open.
Audrey Holloway walked into the room.
She looked stunning—wearing an elegant, deep emerald-green velvet evening gown, her hair styled in soft waves over one shoulder.
Beside her walked Adam Rivera.
Dressed in a tailor-made charcoal tuxedo with a crisp black bow tie, his dark hair neatly styled and his jaw freshly shaved, Adam looked every bit as powerful and imposing as any billionaire in the room.

The applause slowly died down as every eye turned toward the entrance.
Grant’s smile froze. His eyes narrowed in disbelief as he saw the former handyman walking down the red carpet with the heiress on his arm.
