Chapter 5 - The Unmasking in the DarkInside the estate’s private war room, Victoria Vance opened a thick leather binder on the mahogany table.

“While Kad and Bisi thought you were penniless over the last eight days,” Victoria revealed, “Chief Tunde’s forensic auditors traced every wire transfer Kad executed over the past eighteen months.”

Sade looked at the spreadsheets on the table.

Kad and Bisi hadn't just stolen fifty million naira from her private trust; they had forged her electronic signature on three separate commercial loan guarantees, attempting to funnel another two hundred million naira into an offshore shell company registered in the Cayman Islands under Bisi’s maiden name.

“They were planning to drain your entire personal inheritance on the week of your wedding,” Victoria explained. “And then Kad would file for divorce, claiming irreconcilable differences.”

Sade looked at David, who stood quietly by the door, watching her with steady concern.

“What do we do now, Dad?” Sade asked, her voice steadying.

Chief Tunde smiled—a sharp, formidable expression. “Kad invited you to his apartment tonight at eight o'clock to 'break the news' about your engagement, didn't he?”
