FINAL TWIST
FINAL TWIST
"There is one last recording."
The attorney reached into his briefcase.
"This one was never meant for the public."
He pressed play.
Jonathan appeared on the screen once again.
This time...
He looked very different.
His face was pale.
His body was thin.
The illness had taken almost everything.
But not his smile.
He looked directly into the camera.
"If you're watching this..."
He paused for several seconds.
His eyes filled with emotion.
"...my heart finally found its way home."
The video ended.
The screen faded to black.
Ethan instinctively placed his hand over his chest.
For a moment...
The room was completely silent.
Only one heartbeat could be heard.
May you like
A heartbeat that had once belonged to a father...
And was now giving his son a second chance at life.
