Chapter 9 - THE TRAITOR AT LUCA'S TABLESuspicion falls on someone inside the Moretti organization.
Luca's longtime adviser, Vincent, has secretly been working with Caleb.
Vincent provided information that allowed Caleb to track Avery.
Luca confronts him.
Vincent admits everything.
But he reveals something shocking:
Caleb isn't working alone.
Someone inside Bennett Atlantic has been manipulating the company for years.
Avery realizes the conspiracy is bigger than her father.
She begins questioning whether Richard himself is being controlled.
Then Caleb kidnaps Richard.
He tells Avery:
"You want your father alive? Come alone."
Luca refuses to let her go.
Avery tells him:
"This time, I'm choosing."
She doesn't go alone.
She and Luca create a plan to rescue Richard while exposing Caleb.
During the confrontation, Richard finally confesses.
He admits that he betrayed Luca's father.
But he insists he never ordered his murder.
He tells Avery:
"Your mother knew the truth."
"What truth?"
Richard looks at Luca.
"Caleb's father killed him."
Everyone is stunned.
Caleb's family had manipulated both the Bennetts and the Morettis for decades.
