Chapter 10 - THE LAST NIGHT OF FEARCaleb attempts to force Avery into a final agreement.
He threatens to expose Luca's criminal empire unless Avery signs over her inheritance.
But Avery has changed.
The woman who once ran barefoot from her wedding no longer runs from powerful men.
She stands her ground.
She tells Caleb:

She looks him directly in the eyes.
"You forgot one thing."
"What?"
"I learned how to say no."
Luca and his people arrive.
But Luca refuses to kill Caleb.
Instead, he gives Avery the evidence.
She can decide what happens next.
Avery chooses to turn the evidence over to federal investigators.
Caleb is arrested.
Richard is arrested as well, though Avery struggles emotionally with the decision.
The Moretti organization begins dismantling its illegal operations.
Luca decides that he doesn't want his future children to inherit the same world.
But there is still one problem.
The stolen money.
Luca wants to return it.
Avery agrees.
Together, they begin rebuilding the legitimate company.
For the first time, they have a future that doesn't depend on secrets.
Then Avery receives a letter from Caleb.
