Chapter 9 - The Medicine of TruthSix months later.

Under Vivian’s renewed leadership, Hartwell Biotech launched the Lily Hart Foundation, a non-profit initiative dedicated to providing free neurological treatments to low-income families across the country. The company’s stock rebounded to record highs, driven not by greed, but by public trust and genuine innovation.
Noah, with financial backing from an anonymous group of ethical local investors—and a small personal trust set up by Vivian—reopened his dream restaurant in downtown Boston.
He named it Table Seven.
On opening night, the restaurant was bathed in soft, elegant lighting, smelling of roasted herbs, fresh bread, and warm cinnamon. The walls were decorated with framed photos of local community markets and paper origami cranes.
Every table was full of laughing patrons, but the far corner booth was permanently reserved.
Noah walked out of the kitchen wearing a clean white chef’s coat, his face bright with purpose and health. Sam worked happily behind the juice bar, handing glasses to smiling customers.
The front door opened, and Vivian walked in. She wore a stylish dark green dress, her short hair styled beautifully over the faint, almost invisible surgical scar behind her ear. Beside her was Lily, glowing with pride.
Noah walked over to meet them, his eyes fixing on Vivian with an intensity that made her heart skip a beat.
“Welcome to Table Seven, Ms. Hart,” Noah said softly, pulling out the comfortable vinyl booth chair for her.

“Is this seat taken, Chef?” Vivian asked, mirroring the exact words she had spoken in the diner six months ago.
Noah smiled, leaning down to press a soft, lingering kiss to her lips. “Only for you.”
