“I am the majority shareholder and CEO of this company, Ethan,” Vivian stated calmly on screen. “And I am broadcasting this meeting live to the press.”
Before the board could react, Vivian displayed internal company emails onto the screen—documents she had retrieved with her executive access during her recovery. The files exposed Ethan’s secret dealings with offshore hedge funds to artificially inflate drug prices for personal kickbacks.
“Ethan Caldwell has betrayed the core mission of Hartwell Biotech,” Vivian announced to the room of stunned executives. “Effective immediately, Ethan is terminated from his position, and legal charges have been filed with federal prosecutors.”
The boardroom erupted into applause as private security guards marched in to escort a disgraced Ethan out of the building.
With her company secured and her values restored, Vivian turned off the camera. She leaned back against her pillows, letting out a deep, happy laugh.
