Chapter 8 - Luke's True Worth

With the commercial disputes resolved under strict legal boundaries, Hannah turned her full attention to expanding the business that truly mattered.

At the quarterly shareholders meeting of Sol y Tierra, Hannah stood before her executive board and sixty regional managers to announce a major organizational restructuring.

"For fifteen years, our supply chain and distribution network has been the backbone of this company," Hannah announced to the room. "And today, I am officially appointing Luke Weaver as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Global Logistics."

The entire room rose in a standing ovation.

The managers and warehouse crew who had worked alongside Luke for years cheered enthusiastically. Unlike Jeffrey, who measured success by his title and luxury cars, Luke had earned the fierce loyalty and respect of every worker through his honesty, work ethic, and tireless dedication.

That evening, Luke walked into their hilltop home in Valley Center carrying a bottle of vintage sparkling cider.

He pulled Hannah into his arms and kissed her deeply.

"Chief Operating Officer," Luke smiled, resting his forehead against hers. "My mother would have a heart attack if she saw my new office."

"Your mother never understood what real value looks like, Luke," Hannah whispered, wrapping her arms around his neck. "Real value is built with honest hands and a loyal heart."
