Chapter 10 - A Legacy of Dignity

One year later, Central Market was alive with the vibrant morning buzz of customers, fresh produce crates, and the sweet aroma of roasted coffee and warm bread.
Hannah’s original market stall remained open, preserved exactly as it had been twenty years ago. Though she was now the CEO of a multi-million-dollar food and real estate conglomerate, Hannah still spent every Saturday morning behind the wooden counter, greeting longtime customers, slicing fresh cheeses, and laughing with local vendors.
Beside her, young culinary students from the local community college were learning the art of traditional sauce-making through the newly established Morales Family Culinary Foundation.
Across town, Rosalie lived quietly in her La Jolla home, attending local charity functions with far less arrogance, having learned the hard lesson that money cannot buy respect. Jeffrey and Gemma fulfilled their community service hours faithfully, their lives permanently humbled by the woman they had once dismissed.
As the morning sun filtered through the high glass skylights of the market, Luke walked up to the stall wearing his work vest, holding two cups of hot Mexican hot chocolate.
He handed a cup to Hannah, wrapping an arm around her waist as they watched the bustling crowd.
"Another busy morning, boss?" Luke smiled.
"The best morning," Hannah replied, leaning her head against his shoulder.

She looked at her calloused hands, then at the bustling market around her. She had endured the storms of cruelty, dismantled the arrogance of those who sought to demean her, and built an empire founded on dignity, truth, and love.
The tablecloth had shattered the past—and in its place, a beautiful, everlasting feast of peace had finally begun.
