The trial lasted four intensive days in the downtown superior court. Sitting at the plaintiff’s table alongside my managing partner and Nathan, I watched as our cyber-forensic expert systematically dismantled every lie Jasmine’s defense attempted to construct. The interior security footage of her breaking through the fire-escape window with a crowbar was played for the jury in pristine high definition, silencing any remaining doubt regarding her physical culpability.
When Jasmine took the stand in her own defense, weeping hysterically and claiming she was merely trying to "check on her old friend," cross-examination shredded her testimony within minutes by confronting her with the financial wire receipts and threatening notes. The jury deliberated for a mere two hours before returning a unanimous verdict of guilty on all six felony counts.
