Chapter 2 - The Microscopic TruthThe bedroom became deathly silent as the lead neurologist brought over a high-powered magnifying lamp.
Under the sharp fluorescent glare, the doctor’s eyes widened in sheer disbelief. With extreme delicacy, using sterile tweezers, he extracted a tiny, microscopic electronic device—a bio-frequency transmitter embedded right against the bone of Leo's scalp, disguised under a artificial skin patch.
"My God," the doctor breathed, holding up the metallic object in the tweezers. "This is a micro-frequency pain inducer. It emits low-frequency electrical impulses directly into the nerve endings. It causes unbearable localized pain without leaving internal brain trauma."
Roberto stared at the tiny device, his blood running ice-cold. He turned slowly toward Lorena, whose face was completely drained of color.
"You forbidden anyone from touching his head," Roberto said, his voice dropping to a dangerous, deadly whisper. "You hired the doctors. You controlled his medication. You kept him isolated!"
"Roberto, listen to me!" Lorena cried out, taking a step back toward the door. "I had nothing to do with this! Someone must have planted it to frame me!"

"Señora," María spoke up softly, holding a small velvet jewelry box she had noticed earlier on Lorena’s nightstand during her morning cleaning rounds. "I found this hidden behind your vanity mirror. It has the matching remote control frequencies written inside."
Lorena gasped, her eyes darting toward the hallway. But before she could move, Roberto’s security guards blocked the exit.
