Chapter 4 - The Hidden Blue FolderOn Wednesday morning, while Simone was out having lunch with her mother at the country club, I returned to the townhouse accompanied by two off-duty sheriff deputies to retrieve my remaining personal belongings and legal files.

Andre’s silver Mercedes was gone from the driveway, but the house smelled heavily of his expensive cologne.

Inside my home office, I walked over to the built-in bookshelf. Behind three thick interior design magazines, I found what I was looking for: a thick blue leather folder titled Wynn Divorce Strategy.

I sat at my former desk and flipped through her handwritten notes:

Townhouse: Claim as primary marital residence. Demand 60% equity buyout.

Wynn Construction: File emergency injunction to freeze operational accounts.

Check if he has hidden retirement accounts or inheritance from his late parents.

Andre's broker fee for quick sale: $45,000.

Simone had mapped out every single step to bleed me dry. She intended to force an emergency liquidation of my construction machinery, force me to sell my trucks, and leave me sleeping on a cot in a rented warehouse.

Deputy Miller stepped into the office, looking at the folder in my hands. “Mr. Wynn, we’re ready when you are.”

I closed the blue folder, slipping it into my briefcase alongside my original sole-ownership house deed from six years ago.

I turned around, looking at the luxury marble finishes, the Italian leather furniture, and the crystal light fixtures I had spent five years paying for.

“Let her enjoy the house for forty-eight hours,” I said softly to the deputy. “Because on Friday, the locks are changing.”
