Chapter 6 - The Treachery of Sinclair

While I rested in the secure medical suite, Ethan assembled his senior capos and forensic intelligence analysts in the tactical briefing room.
Marco projected the recovered surveillance footage from the bridge ambush onto the multi-screen wall.
"The gunmen were mercenaries hired through a shell company in Panama, Boss," Marco reported. "The funding came directly from an escrow account controlled by Judge Arthur Sinclair—Victoria’s father."
"And the Moretti connection?" Ethan asked, his voice deadly calm.
"Sinclair has been laundering judicial payoffs through the Moretti syndicate for five years," Marco explained, clicking to bank ledgers and encrypted wiretaps. "When Victoria saw Mrs. Romano at the boutique, Sinclair realized that an heir would solidify your control over the family trust and corporate voting shares, eliminating his leverage over our logistics shipping ports."
Ethan stared at the screen, a chilling, terrifying smile spreading across his face.
"They targeted my pregnant wife in broad daylight on a public highway," Ethan said, his words dropping like lead weights into the silent room. "They believe that because Sinclair wears a judicial robe, he is untouchable."
He turned to his chief legal counsel, Arthur Sterling.
"Deliver the encrypted digital dossier on Sinclair's bribery network to the United States Attorney General's Special Prosecutions Division in Washington. And mobilize our entire security division across every Moretti shipping terminal in the tri-state area."

"And what about Victoria, Boss?" Marco asked.
"She chose her side," Ethan replied coldly. "Ensure she is present in court tomorrow morning to watch her family empire burn."
