Chapter 15 - Happily Ever After

The evening reception under the canopy of fairy lights was a celebration for the history books. Local chefs served gourmet feasts, laughter echoed across the cliffside terrace, and even Glenn Cooper was spotted smiling while dancing with Molly Reyes near the dessert table. Clara and Adrian shared their first dance to a slow, hauntingly romantic jazz tune, swaying together beneath the starlit Bellweather sky as if they were the only two people alive in the universe. "So, Mr. DeLuca," Clara whispered playfully, resting her head against his broad shoulder as they turned slowly across the dance floor. "Do you have any more bridal shops you plan on destroying in the near future?" Adrian chuckled, tightening his arm around her waist and kissing the top of her dark curls. "Only if the seamstress refuses to let me take her on a honeymoon to Italy." Clara looked up at him, her brown eyes sparkling with mischief and profound happiness. "Italy sounds acceptable. As long as we stop by the historical silk mills first." Adrian smiled, pulling her closer as the music swelled around them, sealing their happily ever after with a promise that no storm could ever shake. The mafia boss had torn her dress apart, but in doing so, he had unraveled the dark isolation of his own soul—and found a love far richer and more enduring than any empire ever built.
