Chapter 3 - THE MASTER PLAN BINDER

The binder sat on my kitchen table for three days, a physical manifestation of Lorraine’s obsession. It wasn't just a wedding planner; it was a blueprint for our entire existence. She had mapped out our future house, our potential children's education, and even our annual vacation schedule. When I attempted to return the binder to her, she had simply pushed it back across the table, her smile thin and dangerous.

“You’re young, Danielle,” she said. “You don't understand how the world works yet. I’m saving you from your own lack of vision.” That binder became the first item in my secret log—the beginning of the systematic documentation of her boundary violations. I realized then that she wasn't just trying to help; she was trying to inhabit my role as the woman of the house, effectively erasing me from my own marriage.
